Portfolio Review
part of series: Realism City Scapes
48" X 36" X 1.7"
Acrylic and Metallic Paints
"Portfolio Review" is my newest cityscape painted in realism. This large 48" X 36" painting depicts a scene in downtown Denver in front of the Denver Dry building. An historical landmark building in Denver, which also happens to be in my 15th & California painting of 2008. I did not realize this until well after starting this painting. I chose this wonderful scene because of the action and story it told of the woman crossing 16th Street with portfolio in hand heading to what might be an interview. Men chatting in a doorway, a horse and carriage crossing 16th to California, and people window shopping on the 16th Street Mall. On the original painting you will find the Drygood building is copper metallic paint, giving it a great reflective contrast to the sky above and the street below.

I LOVE a challenge and I'm currently accepting projects for the coming year. Do you have a photo you'd love to turn into a masterpiece, detailed as you see here? I can give you a quote upon photo review, with half down prior to beginning your painting. Allow 1 to 2 months for completion for large detailed paintings. One to two weeks for abstracts.
